Frequently Asked Questions

What is it?

Encounter at Twin Suns is a two-day, fully immersive and interactive adventure with a night market in a gritty, Star Wars-themed setting, created by and for Starcruiser fans!

When does it take place?

Friday, May 1, 2026 from 3:00pm to 10:00pm and Saturday, May 2, 2026 from 12:00pm to midnight.

Do we need to attend both days?

The story unfolds in real time, starting Friday afternoon and continuing through Saturday evening (much like the Starcruiser). If you can only attend on Saturday, it will be possible to catch up on what you missed the day before. (The price, however, is the same regardless of when you arrive or depart.)

What is the cost?

There are different levels of participation ranging from $150 to $250. (Guests who volunteer to spend an extra day helping with either site setup or tear down will be able to attend for free.)

What is included in the cost?

Included in the fee is: admission to the event site both days; dinner and snacks on Friday; lunch, dinner, and snacks on Saturday (vegetarian options available both days); unlimited water, 2 cantina drinks per day (alcoholic or non-alcoholic), games and activities.

What’s not included in the base cost?

There will be an exclusive cocktail reception with one of the main characters for those who choose the VIP level of participation, as well as two optional workshops, tooka making and lightsaber training, for an additional cost.

Are costumes required?

Yes! We encourage everyone to make their best effort to dress within the Star Wars universe. Please note that this is a mostly outdoor event, and it can be windy and dusty. Please wear appropriate footwear to accommodate the natural terrain. No bare feet!

Where is it located?

At Twin Suns Ranch, a privately owned, Star Wars-themed environment about 90 miles from Los Angeles in Lancaster, California. The site is remote and primitive. There is an option to stay on site, but you must provide your own RV or tent.

How do we get there?

Burbank is the most convenient airport to fly into if you’re traveling from out of state. Downtown Lancaster and hotels are about 50 miles northeast of Burbank. The site is about 100 miles northeast of LAX.

Are there hotels nearby?

Yes, in Lancaster. While there is no “official” event hotel, we will have a main hotel that we’ll recommend, TBD. We also recommend booking early, as availability is not guaranteed.

Can I bring my own food?

Food, snacks, and beverages will be provided but you can bring your own food and drinks if you’d like. Please note that the site has no refrigerators or electricity so plan accordingly.

Can we purchase additional drinks in the cantina?

The local currency of Twin Suns Station is the only payment that will be accepted during the event. Every ticketed guest will receive a set amount of credits to start with–enough to purchase your food and 2 drinks per day. Additional credits can be earned through game play, working volunteer shifts, or trading with the junk dealer in the night market.

Can I camp onsite?

Yes, you can camp on site if you wish. Please note that there is no electricity or running water. You must provide your own RV or tent. Port-a-potties (with a wash station) will be available.

What will the weather be like?

Typical temperatures in the Southern California high desert in May are between 51 degrees and 85 degrees with an average of 43% humidity. The site tends to be very sunny and dry during the day and can get windy in the afternoons. The temperature drops significantly after dark. Please dress in layers, prepare for lower temperatures, and use sunscreen!

Will there be vendors?

Yes, there will be vendors at the night market. Market hours are approximately 6-9pm on Friday and 7-10pm on Saturday.

Do you need volunteers?

Yes! When you purchase your ticket, you will be asked if you want to volunteer for a 1-hour shift during the event. Volunteers will be paid in the local currency, which can be spent in the cantina.

Are minors allowed?

Yes, but the event is geared towards adults and older teenagers.

Will there be other activities before and after the event?

We will be way too busy to organize other activities, but we encourage attendees to take advantage of the Southern California setting to plan other Star Wars outings! We specifically chose our dates to coincide with Season of the Force and Star Wars Nite at Disneyland.
